As a B2B professional, what is the number one reason you use Twitter?
I use Twitter for 2 main reasons: to build and maintain my network, as well as construct my brand image
What is the most important content you provide to your followers on Twitter?
I provide news and updates from my company, my closest colleagues, and general B2B PR and marketing news/tips (not necessarily in that order!)
How do you interact with both followers and those you follow on Twitter?
I follow back select followers. I RT, ask questions, and make comments on tweets from those I follow. I interact w/them = they interact w/me
On a scale of 1 (not at all) to 10 (extremely), how important is twitter to your B2B marketing, communications and PR?
I'd say it's an 8. While it's quite important, other tools, like LinkedIn or Google , are just as important (for slightly different reasons)
How would you describe your business strategy for Twitter?
50 -strategic RTs, Qs, and comments on followers' tweets. 45 -B2B PR and Mktg related tweets. 5 -promote my own blog posts and other content
What is the most important thing you’ve learned from Twitter?
Quality over quantity. Twitter newbies think it's about having tons of followers, but a follower is meaningless unless related to your niche
What is your best advice for other B2B companies not yet using Twitter?
Start a twitter account, and do it NOW. You can start by finding people you already know. There's no time like the present... :)
