Great tool to share and engage with brilliant people who elect to receive information and updates on our company, our CEO and our products.
What is the most important content you provide to your followers on Twitter?
Highlights of our financial info (CSCO), CSR efforts, cool products and execs...whether in blog form, press releases or 3rd party stories.
How do you interact with both followers and those you follow on Twitter?
We LOVE Cisco students and often congratulate them on passing tests or receiving certifications. We also love our customers and RT them!
On a scale of 1 (not at all) to 10 (extremely), how important is twitter to your B2B marketing, communications and PR?
It is a great tool and I (@urnhart) would put it at an 8 or 9. It is evolving everyday and as we learn more, it becomes more effective.
How would you describe your business strategy for Twitter?
It is a channel for information and listening platform...not a business strategy, but rather a touch-point for those interested in Cisco.
What is the most important thing you’ve learned from Twitter?
Don't over-tweet! 140 characters is plenty of characters and 10 tweets a day is generally our max.
What is your best advice for other B2B companies not yet using Twitter?
Just do it. It is a great LISTENING tool. We learn a lot by simply being involved in the Twitter community.
